Ever feel like your content just gets scrolled past without a second glance?

Like it just doesn't seem to connect with anyone? You spend hours creating posts, videos, or articles, but they just disappear without a trace.

You're not alone. Lots of people who make things online struggle to get noticed. It's not that their stuff is bad, it's just… forgettable. They sound like everyone else, easily lost in the noise.

Think about it. You scroll through social media and see the same old advice over and over.

"Do this to get more followers!" "Try this new hack to grow your email list!" It all starts to sound the same, right?

It's like going to a restaurant with a huge menu, but everything tastes like chicken. You don't remember what you ate five minutes later.

That's what happens when you don't have a strong point of view. You blend in. You become background noise.

People might read your stuff or watch your video, but they won't remember you. And if they don't remember you, they won't come back for more.

Why saying the same thing doesn't work

Imagine you're trying to make friends. If you just repeat what everyone else is saying, why would anyone want to hang out with you?

It's the same online. If your message is generic, you become background noise instead of a must-listen voice.

  • Copying the crowd.

When you just share the same old tips everyone else does, you don't stand out. People have already heard it all before. They're looking for something new, a different way of seeing things.

  • Chasing trends.

Jumping on every popular trend might get you a few quick views, but it doesn't build a real connection. Trends fade fast, and if that's all you're about, your audience will disappear with them. Plus, if you don't really believe in the trend, it can feel fake.

  • Staying on the surface.

Sharing basic information is okay, but it doesn't change anyone's world. People are looking for real insights, things that make them think differently. If your content is just "useful" but not "wow," it won't stick.

What's Missing: Your Core Point of View

So, what's the key to getting noticed and becoming uncopyable?

It's having a Core Point of View (POV). Think of it as your special way of looking at things in your area. It's your unique belief about your topic, your audience, or your industry.

This POV is a vital first step in creating what I call your Niche of One – that unique space in the market only you can truly own, built from your own experiences and insights.

It's the lens you see the world through, and it makes your content different from everyone else's.

If you want people to remember you and keep coming back, you need a POV that's all your own.

Why your unique perspective matters

Having a strong POV does more than just make you different. It helps you:

  • Stand out & be uncopyable.

In a whole lot of sameness, your unique perspective makes you memorable. People will start to recognize your take on things.

  • Connect deeper.

When you share what you truly believe, you attract people who believe the same things. This builds a stronger connection with your audience.

  • Start conversations.

A strong POV often challenges the way people think, which can lead to interesting discussions and more engagement.

  • Become a leader.

When you have a clear and uncopyable perspective, people start to see you as someone who knows their stuff. You become a go-to person in your field.

How to dig into your Core Point of View

Okay, so how do you actually figure out your Core POV? It takes some thought and digging into your own story.

In Nicheology Academy, we use specific frameworks like exploring your 'Messy Life Story' and defining your 'Anti-Vision' to uncover this, but here are a few steps to get you started:

  • Challenge what everyone believes.

Think about your industry or topic. What are the common ideas that everyone agrees on? Now, think about what you disagree with based on your experience. Is there a popular piece of advice you think is wrong or incomplete? This is often where your unique angle hides.

  • Look at your own experiences.

What have you learned from your own journey? What unique insights have you gained from your successes and failures? Your personal story can be a powerful source of your POV.

  • Dig into the deeper truth.

Don't just skim the surface. Dig deeper into your topic. What are the underlying principles or truths that others might be missing?

  • Keep it simple.

Once you have a core belief, try to boil it down to a short, easy-to-remember sentence. Think of it like a motto for your content.

Examples of POVs that stand out & make value creators Uncopyable

Think about people you follow online who have a strong presence. They probably have a clear POV.

Here are those examples again, with a bit more on their impact:

  • Seth Godin. He says, "Marketing isn't about ads; it's about permission."

That simple shift changed how countless businesses approached building trust and earning attention.

  • James Clear. His core idea is, "Success isn't about goals; it's about systems."

He didn't just offer tips; he gave people a whole new, actionable framework for achieving big things through small, consistent actions.

  • Marie Forleo. Her famous line is, "Everything is figureoutable."

This isn't just a catchphrase; it's an empowering belief that encourages people to tackle challenges they might otherwise avoid.

Each of these could be put on a t-shirt because they are so clear and powerful. That's the kind of impact a strong Core POV can have.

What about algo's?

Now, you might be thinking, "That's great, but what about the algorithms that decide who sees my content?"

That's a fair point. Sometimes, even if you have a great POV, the way social media platforms work can make it tough to get seen. Algorithms often favor content that gets a lot of quick engagement or follows current trends.

It can feel like a balancing act. You want to stay true to your unique voice, but you also want people to actually see your work.

The good news is that having a strong POV can actually help you in the long run. When you attract a loyal audience who truly connects with your perspective, they are more likely to engage with your content, which signals to the algorithms that your stuff is valuable.

Think of it this way: your POV is what makes your content special.

While you might need to learn some of the rules of the game to get started, don't sacrifice your unique voice just to chase likes.

Authenticity matters, and in the long run, it's what will build a lasting connection with your audience.

Your Point of View is your power

Your Core POV isn't just a way to create content, it's your unique way of thinking and sharing your expertise. It's what makes you, you.

It's the foundation of your Niche of One, your intellectual property, the special angle that no one else can truly own or copy. It's what will keep people coming back to your work again and again because they resonate with your specific way of seeing the world.

So, take some time to think.

  • What do you stand for?
  • What's the enemy you're fighting against?
  • What drives you crazy and you believe there's a better way?
  • What's your unique, uncopyable take on your world?
